"Just Call Me Covid Moses"

nyt picture.jpeg

When I first got sick with Covid, I started sharing my story on my personal Facebook page. I wanted to share because of how much I didn’t know and didn’t understand about the disease until I got sick. I was surprised with how much it resonated with people. I started hearing from people who also had the disease and it really helped me feel less alone. I was introduced to support groups that helped me vent and helped me try to find answers. I started sharing these resources with others that I knew who had covid or were “long-haulers.” The more I shared, the more I heard from people. I jokingly told my mom that I felt like “Covid Moses,” like I was gathering and leading my people. I started this site to continue to share about my journey and my mission to connect our community of long covid survivors, chronic illness sufferers, and all disabled people.
