Cooking take 2 and cooking take 3

Anyone following along with my journey knows that I have been struggling with food and keeping myself fed. (See previous post)

Thanks to a very excellent suggestion, I procured a crockpot and a recipe book of very simple recipes and tried again to cook.

It definitely went better than before. I didn’t get really tired, dizzy, or confused while trying to cook. But, I did still screw-up the recipe.

I tried to make turkey meatballs. It called for bread crumbs. I tried to make homemade bread crumbs and the pieces were too big, making strange soggy parts in the meatballs.

Luckily, I finally received my disability payment (for more about disability, click here) earlier this week and I put in an order of groceries. So, I got the ingredients again and tried again.

This time, I bought the bread crumbs. And this time, everything seems to have turned out okay.

But for one reason or another, it doesn’t taste right to me. I was really ready to declare victory and I’m a bit upset that I came up short.

But, I am definitely inching forward. So, I suppose that’s good news.
